Enrollment management can be complicated. I can help you make sense of it.

The Tools of Enrollment Management

Nothing is stock, off the rack, or pre-fabricated. While it’s always hard to frame a project’s scope without some discussion (often several discussions), the guidelines below might help you get an idea of what you’ll invest to move your enrollment in the right direction.

  • Always free. Use the Contact/Schedule link in the header to set up a time to talk.

  • If you need IPEDS dashboards for your Trustees meeting or strategic planning, I can put my 20 years of experience with Tableau Software to use.

Two dashboards with five views each (as determined by you) is generally no more than $5,000 unless they require multiple data sources.

I can show you how to embed these in a presentation where your trustees can follow along and interact in real time, making them extraordinarily powerful.

  • Your enrollment success is driven by strategy, but your operations must be focused and aligned.

Depending on the scope of the project, a two-day campus visit and recommendations report, along with several follow-up meetings and implementation discussions, runs about $12,500.

  • I can take a look at your analytics and the systems that deliver information to key stakeholders, and make recommendations to developers who may know how to code, but don’t understand the needs of your EM team or other Senior Leaders.

These generally carry costs of about $2,500-$4,000.

  • Finding a new VP of Enrollment is more challenging than ever, and often search committees lack the full depth of experience needed to vet candidates.

I can bring a perspective and a candor to your meetings that your search consultant might be hesitant to offer, and I can participate in candidate interviews to help separate the best from the rest.

The depth of the engagement determines cost, but you can expect these services to come in between $2,500 and $7,500 depending on time commitment.

  • In today’s market, colleges and universities are often taking some chances with candidates who might seem a bit green. This can even be a valuable perk used to bring the best candidates to your institution.

I’m happy to bring my experience to the onboarding and development of new leaders.

These are normally proposed as monthly blocks of time, for instance up to five hours for $2,000. The contracts are easily cancelled with 30-day’s notice, so there is no long term commitment. When the new VP is confident to set out on their own, the engagement ends.

  • Your board members are committed to your institution, but let’s be honest: Most of them work outside higher education in very different businesses.

Board sessions can be helpful to frame the culture of higher education, and to explore what’s possible and pragmatic, while incorporating the valuable perspectives from outside of higher education.

Simple drop-in sessions on Zoom start at $3,000. More complex, multi-day, and/or in-person sessions generally top out at $10,000.

  • If it’s enrollment related or enrollment focused, I can probably help and deliver a proposal to meet your needs.

But if not, I’ll be sure to let you know.
